European Parliament ratifies Brexit deal, the?EP press service reports on Twitter. The withdrawal agreement was approved by 621 votes in favor, 49 against and 13 abstentions.

From now on, the number of members of the European Parliament will decrease from 751 seats to 705.
The 73 UK seats that will be abolished will be replaced by 27 lawmakers coming from other EU member countries. They were selected in May of last 2019 during EU-wide elections.
