IBM Releases New AI Models for Businesses

Currently, the mentioned company aims to benefit from the increasing number of enterprises that are interested in adopting generative machine intelligence technologies.

The virtual products presented on Monday were named Granite 3.0. These artificial intelligence models are open source. It is worth noting that the corresponding characteristic is relevant for all models of machine intelligence of the Granite family from IBM. Open source is what distinguishes the virtual products of this company from those offered by its competitors, including Microsoft. IBM’s competitors also charge customers for access to their artificial intelligence models.

IBM offers consumers a special paid tool called Watsonx. This tool allows consumers to run artificial intelligence models inside data centers after they have been customized.

It is worth noting that some variants of the new Granite family models are already available for commercial use on the Watson platform. Moreover, some of these virtual products will be available on Nvidia’s software tools that enable businesses to incorporate artificial intelligence models.

Dario Gil, IBM’s director of research, stated that the new Granite family models were trained using Nvidia’s H100 graphics processing units.

A message posted on IBM’s official website notes that the company continues to evolve its portfolio of artificial intelligence assistant technologies that can be used by companies to build their own virtual assistants via low-code tooling and automation.

As we have reported earlier, Microsoft to Launch New Autonomous AI Agents.
