The chief executive officer of the company Sundar Pichai stated about Alphabet’s intentions related to financial injections into South Carolina.

It is currently known that as part of the implementation of investment projects in the mentioned region of the United States, two new campuses will be built for data centers in Dorchester County and an existing campus will be expanded for a similar functional facility in Berkeley County. The relevant information is contained in a statement issued by the administration of the Governor of South Carolina.

The new Dorchester County facilities, located in the Pine Hill Business Campus in Ridgeville and Winding Woods Commerce Park in St. George, will receive $2 billion in investment funds. Also, 200 new operational jobs will be created at these functional facilities. Alphabet will invest $1.3 billion in Berkeley County.

In July, the business giant informed investors that the amount of its capital expenditures for the quarter ended in June was 13 billion. Alphabet at that time also noted that by the end of 2024, the corresponding figure will increase by at least another $ 12 billion. A significant part of these expenses is related to the artificial intelligence infrastructure.
