Western Union will expand services to Brazil’s Banco SEMEAR by offering the Western Union GlobalPay for FI platform.

This platform is the company’s solution for financial institutions that enables customers to make cross-border transactions simply and efficiently. Besides, it eliminates the need to invest in new banking systems infrastructure.

The partnership with Western Union Business Solutions consists of expanding the portfolio of products already offered by Banco SEMEAR. The strategic objective is to integrate new operations into the current structure, allowing the leverage and expansion of the institution's business and target audience
Arthur Campos, Superintendent of Banco SEMEAR

The online platform is part of the Western Union Business Solutions division. It allows processing transactions using a network that covers over 200 and is available in more than 130 currencies.

We’ve reported that Western Union has teamed up with Philippines’ micro-financial services provider Cebuana Lhuillier thus enabling Filipinos to carry out Western Union money transfers.
