Uber Eats confirmed its plans to quit a number of countries including the Czech Republic, Egypt, Honduras, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, UAE, and Uruguay.

The company revealed that these countries didn’t find a way to bring online food delivery service to another level.

Operations will cease by June 4th, except the UAE, where Uber Eats will shift to Careem, its wholly-owned subsidiary.

Despite the food delivery service is leaving these countries, Uber Rides will still be available there.

Our number one priority now is to minimize the impact on the valued employees, restaurant partners, delivery partners and consumers who have supported us
