The idea is for shopping to be delivered within half an hour using the meal delivery apps available
Uber Eats and Carrefour have entered into an agreement to launch a shopping home delivery service across the whole of France and Belgium.
Carrefour and Uber Eats both remain free to make use of the agreements they have signed with other players across the Paris region.
After France, Belgium will soon be the third country to benefit from this partnership. It will be operational in September, with the service being launched in Brussels and Liège.
The country will be testing a 30-minute shopping delivery service, as well as meal box solutions.
We’ve reported that Carrefour has launched an online grocery marketplace in France. The platform will provide up to 100,000 products from more than a hundred different retailers by the end of 2020.
