Payments and cryptocurrency platform?Crypto.com has officially received an ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification after rigorous third-party security audits. Crypto.com is one of the first cryptocurrency companies in the world, and the first cryptocurrency wallet application, to achieve this coveted accreditation.

Considered the “Gold Standard” for information security, ISO/IEC 27001:2013 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organization. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the organization.

Crypto.com says it will enforce its company-wide implementation of Information Security Management System (ISMS), which stands as international validation of how Crypto.com handles its security, privacy and data protection within the organization. The certification is also a stepping stone in Crypto.com’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) journey.
