According to Ecommerce News, Dm is currently offering across Germany its click & collect solution, called “Express-Abholung”.

Earlier, the drugstore operator tested the click & collect solution in the Munich region, however, now this service can be used at most branches across Germany.

Besides, in autumn 2019, Dm decided to experiment with 54 branches in Munich offering the so-called ‘Marktabholung Express’ service. During the pilot phase, customers could pick the goods up even 4 hours after the online order took place.

With very few exceptions, almost all of our 2011 stores in Germany now offer this new service. After it became clear that the measure to combat the spread of the coronavirus would limit the stationary retail and the online order would increase extraordinarily, we decided to offer this service across Germany

Nevertheless, the click & collect service doesn’t support cash payment in the shop. Thus, the customers can pay for their goods using PayPal, credit card and Paydirekt. This service costs €2.95, although registered consumers can use it for free.
