As Council conducted research on Americans’ feelings, needs, and fears amid the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the study, 69% of Americans are most worried about the economy, whereas 4 out of 5 Americans reporting they have already been financially impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

Besides, despite 4 in 5 respondents claim they don’t know anyone who has been infected with COVID-19 in person, 68% of them express concern towards the health of frontline workers.

Furthermore, 53% of Americans surveyed report being more concerned about the health of their friends or family members, whereas only 34% feel the same about their own health. The data also highlighted that 69% of people surveyed feel worried about the economy.

COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives in every possible way. Even during this very challenging time, our research shows that Americans continue to put the needs of others first. They are feeling grateful and are staying more connected than ever with their friends and family. We believe that these insights will provide the Ad Council, along with brands, foundations, and the media, with a crucial roadmap to help address the most pressing needs of Americans during the pandemic and inform our messaging to the American public in the days and months ahead

Nevertheless, 87% of respondents reported being about the same or more in touch with family members compared to the week before. At the same time, 74% of them claim to be the same or more in touch with friends.
