This year, the South Korean technology giant Samsung intends to present a new version of its voice assistant Bixby.
The relevant information was published by the media with reference to representatives of the mentioned company. It is now known that the technology giant’s new development will be based on its own artificial intelligence models.
Digital assistants are currently at the center of consumer attention. The corresponding virtual products found themselves in demand territory after the debut of ChatGPT from OpenAI. At the same time, it is worth noting that the main factor in the growth of consumer interest in digital assistants has been the development of artificial intelligence, the cognitive abilities of which have reached an impressive level and are gradually beginning to compete with the capabilities of the human mind. There is also an opinion circulating among experts that AI will surpass the thinking power of the human brain in the foreseeable future.
Bixby, as mentioned above, will be based on a large language model developed by Samsung. The corresponding service was first launched in 2017. The voice assistant has been integrated into the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone. This digital product has many functions, including live broadcasts and restaurant recommendations.
Bixby Vision allows consumers to use their smartphone’s camera to scan whatever is in front of them.
It’s worth noting that back in March, the technology giant raised the possibility that its voice assistant would be updated. At that time, the company announced its intention to use generative artificial intelligence as part of the modernization of the mentioned digital product.
