Ledger Partners PayPal to Simplify Crypto Adoption

The provider of most popular crypto wallets, Ledger, has partnered with the payments giant PayPal to simplify access to cryptocurrencies.

The partnership enables users to buy cryptocurrencies directly through the Ledger Live companion app using their PayPal accounts. Moreover, clients, who have purchased crypto with a PayPal account before, can buy crypto in Ledger Live with no extra verification.

Customers need to open the Ledger Live app, navigate to the ‘Buy’ section, select the desired currency and amount and choose PayPal as the payment method. They will be redirected to the PayPal interface to log in and confirm the transaction.?The purchased crypto will be automatically sent to the user’s Ledger hardware wallet for storage.

At launch, te service is available exclusively to the US users, with no plans disclosed about further rollout. In the US, ?crypto purchases are subject to applicable state law.

Buing crypto with Ledger Live & PayPal collaboration has additional benefits. The app users can also sell, swap, stake and lend their digital assets. In addition, Ledger Live provides access to an expanding list of decentralized applications (DApps) in the Discover section, with private keys automatically safeguarded on the Ledger device.

“We’re combining the uncompromising security of Ledger with PayPal’s leadership in secure payments technology to help facilitate a secure and seamless platform for user crypto transactions. Ledger is committed to simplifying the world of crypto, and PayPal is committed to making the movement of money as simple, secure, and affordable as possible. This integration provides greater optionality while giving users peace of mind converting dollars into crypto,” said Pascal Gauthier, Chairman & CEO of Ledger.

Earlier this week, PayPal introduced its new?Cryptocurrencies Hub?for select users to store, buy, sell, receive, and send crypto assets.
